Kalusha's Cavies

Over the last few years, our caviary has evolved with various hutches to become the layout it is today. We now have 3 sets of 6x5ft breeder blocks and the recently built 4 metre retirement pen. We also have a 3-tier 3ft hutch for our matings pairs.

As our babies are born indoors, we have an indoor cage and once the babies are a week old, they have a spacious 5ft hutch to grow up in!

We will shortly be having a second level added to the retirement pen so all the sows can live in it - so they can exhibit all their natural, social behaviour!

Our Cavies go out in the run as often as possible - usually at at least 3 times a week,

whenever we have good weather really!
